Cloth cover for the rear storage bin - DIY
I have been going doorless on the storage bin for a few years now and since summer is here I thought it was time to make something to cover the rear bin to hide anything that might be sitting there. I didn't like the doors because I couldn't over-stuff the bin, and the cloth cover stretches more, and is a good deterrent tho obviously not theft proof.
They're pretty easy to make if you have someone that can sew (my wife did that part). Just use screw in snaps from ACE hardware and you're set. I got my hands on a rear bin door to use for the measurements and made the cover ![]() And installed it under the screws that hold down the plastics where the doors were attached ![]() ![]() Need to adjust it a little so it's not so taut but you get the idea. ![]() ![]() just need a screaming chicken to put on there to match the funk cover! ![]() |

Why doorless, Steve? On a related note, did you do any cutting of your firewall for a specific project this winter?

I never did get around to the SC project because of Carver's kit - I would rather go with a plug-n-play option and sell my 'kit' to offset the cost. If he never gets the thing out the door then I will go back to plan A in the future. |

If you decide to sell your kid, let me know, I'd be interested on bolting it to my girlfriend's 1ZZ if the price is right
