Hardtops are discontinued from Toyota. Your best bet is finding a used one.

What advantages do you see of a hardtop over a softtop?

hi im new here if one were able to find a hard top, would you have to destroy the convertable unit or could you swap them out easily so the convertable assembly is intact to reinstall if ever needed? thanks!

No need to modify the soft top. It still woks as it always did. There is a hardware kit that needs to be added, replacing the small covers behind the top, and the side covers need to be replaced (part of the hardtop kit) or cut for the mounting posts.
