Check the clutch switch if it's a manual.

the sitch is located under the dash at the top of the clutch pedal , btw this is assuming that when your trying to start the car it's not turning over at all.

it shouldnt throw any codes.
but i have no idea.
um if you press the clutch down and you hear a click, try it without the clutch. if it does not click ur starter is bad.

Won't throw any codes, but also won't help it start. When the pedal is depressed it makes a connection. When the pedal is up, it's the same as if it was disconnected.

To test to see if this is the bad part you need to use a wire to jump around the switch. But be careful you don't try to start without pushing the clutch it - just might start and run you through a wall or whatever.

Kinda been skipped around: Make sure you don't have a wad of carpet or new floor mats or something preventing you from pushing the clutch all the way to the floor before trying to start the car.

My ex got really mad at me once (has something to do with why she is an ex) because my truck stranded her, then when I got in it fired right up. Later found she was just pushing in the clutch far enough to disengage the plates, not make the switch.

It's an easy mistake to make, good luck.
