NICE!!! I would do the same thing, but my other car is a G35 coupe. (A nice car, but it's def. no ZO6!) I am so jealous.

Yup, stock mk3's are kind of girly, my girlfriends have said. If you want to change the attitude of the car put in it a good set of rims, get a lower suspension and possibly change body kit. I've seen a lot of badass mk3's.

Go for it!
I think the stock mk3 is pretty fugly, but some of the body kits make it look amazing., even the simple ones... the one thing I have greatly against the mk3 was it seems to lack trunk space. My mk2 has all the trunk space I need for groceries, shopping, weekend trips with autox gear, luggage, and golf clubs etc. I realize the car is a sports car, but I would like enough room to at least take it on a trip and get groceries.... but maybe I am wrong? I have never seen good pictures.

Also I have no spare up front, and that always makes a good extra space.

Why is it so bad to have a girly car,
This is what a girl can do.

My wife drives the Spyder like that, too.

Definitely, is only to have fun and take you to places (without any cargo, other than a backpack). That was the main reason I didn't change my Celica for a MR2 mk3. I use to travel once a week to my GF house and I carry a lot of stuff.

The butt of the mk3 always looked kind of messed up to me but I could see how it would be a real attractive car with a tasteful bodykit. That and a 3sgte swap like it should have come stock with.

Nothing like upsetting a car with amazing balance and handling by tossing in a 450 lb iron block motor and gaining a good 200+ more lbs.

I don't mind the looks with a trd stage 1 kit:

Fine, a 2gr then And yeah, that's a nice looking body kit. Might want to mix the front up a little but the back is much improved with it.

I don't care what other people say. If they think it's girly, they better be prepared to have their asses handed to them by a chick car.

ok if you are asking for opinions i have one if i'm not to late. The MKIII is deffinitly the girliest of all MR2's but if you put the wide body kit on it and a set of real deep dish wheels the hard convertable top a little engine work with a nice deep sound then your not so girly but by time you do all of that your in the same boat as the rest of us you have $20-25K in a car that you will probably never see half that $ back out of it. I guess the moral of the story is, it will be your car you have to drive it so have fun with it do with it as you will.

This is so obviously wrong that I feel I must correct the record.

The girliest car is the Mark I. When it came out real GUYS bought a TR-7 or maybe a Fiat X1/9. Girls bought the Toyota 'cause it was safe and reliable. Need more, even the "Z" car was really called Fairlady and if you look up the ownership records it was the highest ever proportion of female buyers of sports cars. Personally, I drove a Fiat 124 spyder back then.

The MKII was a car for posers and wannabees. Some girly types thought it was cute like a baby Ferrari (those people bought the NA automatic version). The turbo guys REALLY wanted a turbo Supra but couldn't afford it. Boy did I wish I had more money back then.

The MKIII isn't girly, it's the gay guy's car (don't tell my wife, I've kept it from her for 25 years).

BTW, no need to thank me. The truth is it's own reward.

Who cares what other people think and I'm old enough to say that!

We like our MK III and my wife even lets me drive it once and a while.

I like it better than the 75 X1/9 that I once owned.

i dunno but i agree with some. in my opinion the mk3 is the most girliest. and the mk1 and mk2 are the man cars. but the mk2 style is my fav. out of the 3.
