i need some ideas

Okay so i have not offically bought an MKIII but im looking into one i used to own a 2003 acura RSX TYPE-S the k20a2 i got wrecked into and it was totalled and now im looking into the MKIII but im not a big fan of the 1zz motor So im wondering is the only way for me to get power out of this car by spending mass amount of money/buying the 2zz
Can anyone help me out here?

Yes, if you want more than 140whp. Miata would be a better choice for you (I'm being serious). Cheaper to buy, cheaper cost-to-power ratio for mods, way more aftermarket support, same handling as a 2, more storage.

sorry man. This is the type of car that as soon as someone says it needs more power, what's a cheap way to make it fast - the red flag goes up. It's just not a straight line speed car without 2zz/FI + $$. It's fast enough as a corner carver with the 1zz if that's your game.
