1999 LHD MR2 Turbo?

Greetings.
I'm in Canada and I was wondering if there was any LHD 1999 MR2 Turbos built for any market on the planet? I've searched around but haven't been able to find any info on this. I can legally import a 1999 RHD MR2 Turbo into Canada when it is 15 years old in 2014.....but I'd prefer to get a LHD car if it does indeed exist. Perhaps from Germany or?

Anyone know if there is such a thing as a LHD 1999 MR2 Turbo?

Thanks for any info.
Steve

I don't think they made any LHD after 1995. but I am not too sure outside of the USDM. I know there were RHD all the way to 1999 for the MKII.

hope that bit if info helps a little bit.

Thanks. I'm pondering the project of converting a 1999 JDM car over the LHD if I can't find a 1999 LHD model. It is a big project, but it would be worth it.

just get a 91-95 and do all the modifications to the car that were done after that.

people frequently look for the newer body style parts. tails, wing, and so on.

I've pondered that.....but part of me likes the idea of having a 1999 LHD MR2. It's always fun having something rare. Although that would mean sourcing out the LHD conversion parts. I wonder if 1995 LHD parts would fit as replacements for the needed conversion parts.....firewall, dash and steering rack etc?

I believe Germany had them, I remember seeing a picture of a 98' Dark Purple Mica that was LHD.

Yep.. Europe continued to receive LHD cars after 1995..

I imagine that it'd be more expensive to import a LHD Euro car, but.. Much more desirable form my POV!

LHD = Left Hand Drive.....like all cars in the U.S. the steering wheel is on the left side
RHD = Right Hand Drive.....most if not all european and asian countries have there steering wheel on the right side and drive on the other side of the street

And I don't think it would be worth converting it unless u were gonna go right around and sell it, then a 99 LHD turbo would be cool dependin on the price

Actually, there aren't many countries outside of Japan and the UK that use RHD. Also, this is posted in the MKIII section... probably meant MKII though

Actually only the UK and some of it's former colonies drive that way (Jersey, Malta, etc). France, Germany, Italy, Norway, and Spain are just a few I've been in that are all LHD. I think Sweden and Finland used to be RHD and have now switched over.
