Aw shucks, I can't get up my drive way
^ Photobucket fails because the picture quality goes down the crapper.
Anywho, update!!! Finally huh? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() She's now lowered on coilovers. BC Racing to be exact. Nothing too ballin'. Was planning on some KWs, but decided that at this moment in life I can't afford to spend all that money on top of the line coilovers. The reason I decided on these is because: - They have had good reviews in the Spyder community. - Custom spring rates avaliable. - Pillowball mounts (KWs don't, so you have to reuse your stock top hats). - Price. I ordered them from Apexlater on Spyderchat, he's a great guy to deal with. Answered all my questions and kept me up to date with what was going on with my order. I ordered these with Front: 8K, Rear: 7k spring rates. So far so good. It isn't too bad. Stiffer than my TRD/Koni combo on my MK2 for sure! ![]() On stock tire 15/16 I measured 5" from the ground to the fronts pinch rail and 5 1/4" for the rear. I like it. ![]() I haven't fully aligned it yet, I tried, but ran out of time at work! I'm planning for:Front: -3.0 Camber 0.0 Toe Rear: -2.2 Camber 0.0 Toe and go on from there. I'll get some proper photos up soon. Last edited by Davis; 08-29-2010 at 02:29 PM.. Reason: I can't spell! |

Thanks guys!
![]() Pops toy, did you ever get your hands on the front emblem yet? David, I got them for $1,000 shipped. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about them, but when I opened up the heavy ass package and saw them sitting there, they were beautiful! Build quality looks good. I've only driven on them for < 100 miles, but they feel awesome. We'll see how they perform at the next autocross! |

BCs are pretty easy to adjust. The broken English instructions didn't really help though..
"Lossen the locked screw A.( The elevation angle already fexed, and you need to adjust ride-height again )" Uhh wtf? ![]() I just looked at the max coils website. "Designed for lowness" That's all you 240 boy! The BCs don't really lower the car much. I can't lower the fronts anymore. and the rears are adjusted a little lower than what it was from the box.Oh yeah, no more stock class. Street Prepared here I come! ![]() Last edited by Davis; 08-29-2010 at 11:14 PM.. |

Lowness isn't all I care about! although it is important. I really just want to get rid of my stock boat suspension. Every time I turn it feels like I'm gonna roll over. ![]() |

Work was a bit slow on Friday, so I finally had time to align my car!
![]() Yes, she did scrape on the way up, and on the way down. I wish we had the in ground alignment racks. Oh well.Front: camber -3.0 toe 0.0 Rear: camber -2.3 toe: 0.0 I haven't had a chance to autocross yet, but on the road these specs feel pretty good. ![]() ____ David, throw on some r comps and you'll be 3 wheelin' with all that mad body roll yo! On one side they be like damn his wheelz all up in the err! and the other side be like damn he squatting low like a mofo! pops, Painted(and stock) jspec nose badge- replace front cowboy hat ![]() |

My old Azenis were fun in the rain. :3
Dooz, originally I was going to get it from Bethania Garage themselves, but twosrus started selling them (cheaper too! ). Twos R Us - Parts for Toyotas from Club MR2I don't know how capable you are, so I'm just going to give you a fair warning (I apologize, if I did offend you). This install is not a walk in the park, it involves dropping the gas tank, drilling 30 precise-ish holes, and cutting two access panels into the car's chassis. Another choice in roll bars is either Autopower or Techno Pro Spirits (if you can find one). They are not real roll bars, but they bolt into factory bolt locations. They will mouse trap you if you flip over to. Then there are style bars, and well... we all know that style bars are gay. |
