steering wheel and air bag for sale
Item Location: Wisconsin I'm selling my steering wheel with air bag, 2000 Spyder. It has a TRD badge in the center instead of the OEM badge. I replaced the dented and scratched up Toyota badge. Make a respectable offer. It will end up on Ebay in a few weeks or so otherwise. Just message me if interested. thank you.
![]() ![]() badge looks dented, but it is not. it was clear coated and has lots of gloss. Last edited by jhauschild; 01-26-2008 at 01:31 PM.. |

Crap, I don't know. Would have to ask some of the big time Gurus on the forum. I don't believe that the air bag would wire up, though.

I would like round $200. I have been trying to find a method of shipping. It is considered hazardous and carriers will not ship unless I was licensed and trained to do so. Or, to find away to remove the igniter to make it safe to ship.

If I where to get caught, I believe it would be a $3000 fine. Not worth the risk. Besides, the right static charge can get'em to pop. Some one could get hurt too.
But I am going to contact a few of the local salvage lots to see if they could ship it for me. |

Good call! No need to get a visit from homeland security for trying to make a few bucks. They may have let you slide for an inadvertant explosion before, but now they'd probably crawl all over everything you own and then ask you what the heck you were thinking when they get done. |

I live in Waupun WI. 30 minutes North of Madison. I believe it does bolt up, but I don't think the air bag will wire up.

This photo shows what you would be getting....
![]() This photo shows the air bag inside the center without the "popper". The air bag is part of the center section. Basically, it is one piece.... bag and all. ![]() |

A few people have asked me if the wheel would fit MKII's. Well, not sure. But I looked at the description of the hub kit and steering wheel that I put on the car and this is what was written, "90-98-00-05 TOYOTA MR2 TREK 350mm STEERING WHEEL + HUB". That would lead me to believe that it would fit. If the hub from the kit fits on both vehicles than the splined steering shafts should be the same. Not sure if anything else would get in the way of sitting flush like column plastic covers. Would be nice to know for sure.

well if it says that it's for all those years i don't see why it wouldn't bolt up, or be able to have the air bag wired in.
