Pointy front Mk1
I seem to remeber, some considerable time ago now, that someone had made a pointed front on a yellow Mk1. Does anyone have a link to a picture of this strange beast?

I think it was also turned into a tricycle... not positive on that, but I do remember what you're talking about.

Glad someone other than me remebers it, I was beginning to think that my memory was due to an alchol related fog!

Now that I think about it, it wasn't a trike, but it had exposed front suspension I think, completley custom.
It was ugly as hell, but I know it exists, so don't worry, I'm sure someone has a picture of it somewhere. |

Other than the fact it has tires, two seats, and an engine, it shows no relation to an MKI. I'd assume they may have torn the entire thing down to the frame and redone all of the body work for it, else they just stole the engine from an MKI and called it good.
If you look even the cockpit is different. The shift assembly is far too low, the gauges are all off. Though I did notice another thing similar while looking at the cockpit, the steering column and the ignition are identical to an MKI. |

Looks like it would be a boatload of fun flogging around the mountain passes until some bored state patrolman decided to give you some extra special attention.
