Thumbs up alloy wheel swop ?

Hi There, I have a mint 1988 mr2 mk1 coupe - still have the original teardrop alloys but fancy a change of wheels. Can any of you guys advise me as to what type, size and style ?. Hopefully I will be able to improve the cars handling too.

I have had a look........it's a mindfield out there !!.........anyone help from past expericence ?

the world is pretty much at your disposal. i am SURE that not many people can agree on any 1 specific wheel/tyre combination.4x100 bolt pattern. you CAN put a 17" wheel on your car. just depends if that strikes your fancy. it also depends on what you will be doing with your car. if you are doing more serious 'things' with your MkI, then something around the 15" would better suit your needs.

I just put Miata rims on mine. The lightest the made for it. Looks pretty good and is really light! Only 14" though

depends on what year MkIII. the early ones are 15" (they are staggered width-wise). the 2003 have 15/16" staggered wheels. i don't know the offset off the top of my head though.
