probably a dumb question......(tower strut bar)

i'm sure this is probably a dumb question, but i have to ask.

does putting a tower strut bar on a mk1 make a noticeable difference as far as daily driving?

i only ask because i put one on mine, but i did not drive it enough prior to putting the bar on the say 100% that there was a difference. i believe there is a slight difference, but am not sure if it's just mental.

enlighten me please...

thanks

Front or rear? I put a front one on my 86 and noticed a large reduction in understeer, the tires were "biting" into the pavement much better. As for the rear, I put one on before my sway bar, and it made a HUGE difference. Then I put on a stock 85 sway bar, and that didn't do much. I think one or the other does 90% of the improvement, but I like everything to be stiff, so I'm glad I did it all.

i upgraded the rear brakes from the stock 85 to the 89 rotors and calipers last night. i noticed that the rear sway bar is rather thin in diameter.

will increasing the diameter to the rear sway bar help in addition to having the front sway bar and tower bar?

hi guys
just alittle info putting in stiffer sway bars does not make the suspension stiffer it make the car not roll in the corners as much. but if you put in a bigger rear sway bar you will experience more oversteer.
