ah hell so i get to spend this again? damn. thought we were calling it quits. after hearing people hating d2 I'm wondering what this guy is doing different to make his setup any better... not that i'm doubting his abilities, I still want them, just want to make sure I'm investing something that is worth what I'm paying
thx for coming back ![]() Last edited by MrArmyAnt; 03-26-2008 at 10:54 PM.. |

Well I sure hell ain't calling it quits. If you want to, that is fine by me LOL. No matter what I am having a set made. I know my set is going to be bad ass, and if people miss out, they miss out. My friend will simply charge his regular price if people are interested later on. I am just passing on a good deal, nothing off my back ya know.
How does Eibach, H&R all have good reputations, because of R&D. Your comparing apples to oranges. D2, Ksport, all made by the same company are interested in mass production as well as profit. They do not even make their own product, but are being purchased from a company that mass produces the same product for a variety of companies. Ebay is the best place to see this first hand. Search G4, D2, Ksport, and you will find the same application list, same mounts, same hardware..etc..What they call R&D is using generic valving and throwing weird spring rates to compensate for a poorly valved shock. The consumer is getting a shock that is simply be resued and fitted for many different applications. That is why you will find the same applications and spring rates with many companies out there. The guys with small applications list are primarily the companies that concentrate more on product development rather than having a shock for every car out there. That is how I've been looking at it after the research I have done. |

R&D is what I'm worried about, but that's coming from the electrical engineering design in me where a company like Intel's r&d budget trumps via's by a stupid amount. I'm still in, just feel a little blind here, you see and know the guy, I haven't seen either of ya. But no I'm still in if they can still go into production.
Also, curious, anyway he could use a variable spring? ![]() Thx again for bringing these here, but I was brought up with trust issues But i'm trying to get over that. |

Well your not going to get a phone call from me. You will get a call from AMR. I am simply here to be part of a forum and to mod my AW11.
He must be doing something right to have over 36+ page of positive feedback as well able to offer a lifetime warranty. On top of that he has a 8 week turnaround time, and last time I asked over 90 workordres for coilovers that need to be machined. So he must be doing something right to have people hire him to make all these coilovers LOL. |

Aye. Going off to read now. Thanks for the info
![]() EDIT: After going off and doing some research, couldn't find any negatives, except people saying it was too cheap. Goes to show a lot of people are idiots. I'm in 100% Do we know if this is going to have pillow ball mounts? I just realized I might be in over my head with the adjustably this has. Last edited by MrArmyAnt; 03-26-2008 at 11:31 PM.. |

He is in Southern Washington.
"JohnnyD" haha, shoot bro, it's only monday. I have not even placed my order. I will be placing it on Friday and will provide my friend with a spread sheet with everyones info. BTW. Some of you have not pm'd me the year of your car. Please make sure to include that. I'm sure he will give everyone a call over the weekend most likely. He really has no excuse since he just tore his rotary cuff, and he's out for a few weeks. Unless he is in too much pain, I'm sure you will get a call shortly right after. |

Yah, they are waiting for the swelling to go down to see if he will require surgery. But he is in good spirits.
I'll be meeting up with him on Friday to take him out to lunch. I'll be placing my order then. So thanks to everyone that PM'd me, and look for a call this weekend from AMR. He's very excited, and is very happy to make these for everyone. Like he told me, there arn't many AW11 owners around here, so he's happy to help out. I'm glad I didn't have to twist his arm, just had to buy him beer haha. |

Man is it too late to hop on the wagon for thes coilovers???? I would love a pair of unnamed coilovers...they sound nice and its better than k-sport basics...
