Tell me more about mki wheel and tire sizes
I'm quite familiar with wheels on an mkii, but I know very little about the mki's. What are the widest wheels that can fit on an mki, and what offset should you be looking for to keep the wheels flush with the fenders? There doesn't seem to be a heck of a lot of info available here. Pictures of your setup would be cool.
I might be buying this '86 MR2 I found, but it has the hideous stock 3-spoke rims, and the tires are bald anyways, so I was thinking perhaps I'd go for the Kosei K1's in 15x7, +38 offset. I have the K1's on my mkii and I was very impressed by their lightweight, quality, and appearance. The thing is though, I'm kinda particular on how the wheels fit on the car- I like them to be as flush as possible with the fenders. |

I have the Kosei K1 in a 33mm offset and they are still shy of flush by a decent amount. You would probably need around a 25mm offset or so depending on your camber settings. I did have a little rubbing in the rear when I ran ST springs with the Konis set at full soft with them. I am running 215/45/15 tires. I have Ground Controls now and they don't rub.
