Shows us what your AW11 is sporting...

I'm just curious what wheels people are sporting on this forum. I've noticed a lot of you guys have have wheels that are normally 5-7" wide with high offset - I assume that's because the 4x100 bolt pattern is more common on FWD cars, but maybe you guys just like that better (???).
Anyway, I LOVE WIDE WHEELS with zero to negative offset... So, I got my AW11 some 15x8 sportmax with 0 offset and they look wicked nice. I do need to get the fenders rolled or get some fender flares (AE86 fender flares work with modding, just so you all know) because there is some rubbing.

I can't find any of my pics and it's too dark to take some now so I'll post them tomorrow. In the meantime, here's an white MR2 with similar wheels (he has fender flares molded on so they don't look as flush... needs spacers, IMO):

NICE!

I'm going for Compomotives ML series with a 15x8 + 0 offset. In combination with 240Z flares.

I needed new tires so I found someone selling used rims with good tires. The tires have about 85-90% tread on them. They are gawdy but for $150 I cant complain. Does anyone know where to get hubcentric rings that fit the mr2?

Here are some of the rims I've run...

the Volks are on my S/C now and they look like this...

these were the Tenzo-R Sinko-R's I ran on my N/A for a while... looked great, but I broke one and couldn't get a replacement ... they also rode too rough for my taste

these are the SSW's on the N/A...

that one needs to be lowered for the 16's to look right... they looked just fine on the S/C (which is lowered... Eibach springs) before I swapped them onto the N/A

LGSheero, I see those rims around once a month on a mk1... in fact saw one yesterday with them, but I look at these things all over the country every week, sometimes I don't see them for a few weeks at a time though, so they are fairly rare. They are 89 only wheels correct?

I am not sure what years the sawblades came on but my 85 has them. Not sure if they are original or not, but everything else is original so i would assume that they are too. I might be interested in selling them, they are in fairly decent shape, and they are really light.

Johnny D...

I was just wondering what size tires they are. Did you have to do any modifications ...fender rolling? Is the car lowered.. did you have any issues with rubbing ?

I like the sportsmax rims with 0 offset and 16x8. Will rolled fenders clear the 16x8?

Do the wheels noticeably stick out from under the fenders and spray when raining?

Does anyone have any pics of sportsmax rims with zero offset, but 15x7 all round or 15x8?

15x7+0 and 15x8+0 both stick out a bit too far. The lowest offset you could probably go(will require a bit of camber), is what I was going to do. 15/16x7+12 front, and 15/16x8+25 rear.
