I am looking for performance and safety without spending tons of money. I seriously doubt that Ksport kit will do all that much for 1000 dollars. usually upgrading to calipers of that size will decrease breaking force without upgrading the master cylinder too. I have an 86 and I was looking to get the stainless lines, upgraded slotted rotors (stock size) and upgraded street autocross pads from twosrus.com. Also getting the master cylinder brace. Doing a full fluid flush and filling with good stuff. Will this be able to handle a car with full coilovers and 300 hp? turbo blacktop is used. I'm looking to autocross and get HPDE license.

if your idea of upgrading master cylinder to a bigger bore size unit will increase caliper clamping force, you are sadly mistaken. it is the other way around. because a bigger master cylinder will increase fluid travel volume, but decrease out put force. you should check out basic hydraulic principles before you go and "upgrade" brake hydraulics. and people say you will never use the stuff they teach you in highschool. upgrading calipers for higher clamping force is worthless if you keeping the stock rotor, if the stock brakes are overheating with stock rotor size, it will over heat quicker with the upgraded calipers. The upgrade kit is an 11 inch rotor and would use four pistons vs one. Anyone have a writeup on hydraulics? lol I think I will do some more research. Ksport 11 Inch Big Brake Kit (AW11 rear) - $1,470.00 : EMSPowered, High Quality, Great Service, Low Prices is the product i was looking at vs just upgrading to stock size slotted rotors etc etc.

that is way over kill if you are not racing full time on a road course. and seeing how overbiased the stock front brakes are already, upgrading a bigger brake in the front only will make things worse.
you will lock up the front way early. so if you really want to get this, get the rear also, but I think you will lose parking brake, and you will need an adjustable prop valve to balance out the brake bias so that kit is basically full race only. I recommend you spend money on stock spec rotors, some nice pads such as AXXIS ultimate, check master cylinder, check and lube all calipers, make sure they can move on the slide and guide freely, if one is stuck replace it. you can bypass the stock proportioning valve for better front and back bias. there should be a couple threads about it. braided lines and master cylinder brace will definitly help you can swap over the 87+ stuff, caliper bracket, calipers, rotors. I believe they are slightly bigger. and spend money on good tires. all that super huge brakes are worthless if the tires cant grip, after all, the brakes stops the wheel and the wheel stops the car. There was a link posted somewhere here with an amazing write up on breaks. I'm not going to be able to find it because I have to go to work in a few mins but it's here somewhere.
