The wheels look good but how does the car handle at high speeds with that hood ornament?

first post on this forum, even though i browse a bit. :S (usually just stick on mr2oc/mr2org/toymods etc)
couldnt resist a wheels thread though. my mr2 has been quite a whore for rims over the years.

with 'er stockies:

odd period with home-painted eunos roadster rims (miata flowerpots or whatever they're called!)

another strange period - odd JDM 48spoke wire wheels..

Volk/Rays 'original mesh'/'super-fine mesh'

SSR reverse mesh

dorifto stage - lol at deliberatley mismatched pairs..

always popular watanabe's:

and my old second mr2.. which i sold with a set of rims i absolutley loved. needed restoing, but they were fkn tough on it.
Impul RS, 16x7 and 16x8 with stretched ass tyres on the rear.

and my sunroof mr2's new wheels, en route from japan right now.

also have a set of (stupid-rare and quirky as all hell) TOM'S original 'Spirit's'..

probably others, but these are the lot that i remember.

Holy tits you have a lot of money tied up in some of those rims. I must say I like the impul rs's. I would love a set for my mr2 but I'm a broke college kid just trying to get the 20v running and afford books at the same time. Nice mr2's they are very nice.

Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see the new ones on the car. Please keep us posted.

I suppose it's a stupid question to ask if you have any pictures of the Tom's wheels on the car...if you did you probably would have shared them with us?

I'm wanting a set of 4-spoke wheels really bad. If you let me know if you want to sell them...(like I'd ever be able to afford them...shipping to the US would probably cost a fortune too...)

Thanks..

well Tom's racing actually have a couple 4-spoke wheels out there. turned down two sets of the later split spoke type 4 spokes recently. off the top of my head they're named the C2R and New Action.
these ones i love though; as ive never seen another set, they're rude as all hell, and they're period perfect. shame the specs are exactly the same as the stock teardrops.. so they're a little weak on the car.
to answer that question though, no.. ive never had them on the car. mine havent got tires and i always had so many other wheels.. :S

im still in love with the SSR MKIII's that are on their way too. they cost... ALOT.. but look so great.
cant wait to get some pics of them on the car.
specs are only 15x7 all round, but a +26 on the front, and more delicious +13 on the rear.

Those wheels look bad a$$! What paint color gray is your car? One of the cleanest MK1's I seen yet. Great job.

Thanks stu4u3, I actually have no idea what brand or color gray the paint is. I just bought the car about a week and a half ago. The rims are made by TenzoR, they're 17's.
