Car is Shaking
Hey,
So whenever go on the freeway and go about 60 MPH+ my steering wheel starts shaking left and right. And when I brake the car starts to shake as well put in a forward and backward motion. I figure it just needs a wheel alignment, but i could be wrong. Help Please! P.S Also while trying to drive straight the steering wheel is tilted to the right which in turn makes the car turn. Is this part of the same problem? |

Shaking @ 60mph + should be your wheels.... check for bent rims, especially front.
Shaking while braking, like spdracer said, its your rotors, have them polished. |

not pollished, re-surfaced.
but before you start to chillout money, jack it up and see what is worng. 1. check your tire pressure. make sure they are nice and even. 2. while the wheels are up on the jack stands, spin them look for any wobbing. 3. look at your rotors, look and feel for any deep grooves or rings, its usually on the back side were they get warped. 4. if they are warped replace rotors and pads too. 5. if rotors are fine, then get an alingment. |

Is the steering wheel stock or aftermarket? Sometimes people just dont put the steering wheel on straight.

I recently checked the tire pressure and added some air that helped a little. But rotors go from high low starting from the center, so they are a bit bumpy. Does this mean i should polish or resurface the rotors and should i get new brake pads as well? And yes the steering wheel is stock, but i have thought of adding an aftermarket steering wheel.
