Since you have an MKI, look into getting Koni Yellows and Ground Control sleeves. The ground control sleeves use a baby sleeve for Koni's, so they fit right over the Koni shock like true coilover instead of in a perch like a cheaper sleeve. Ground Control sleeves are top notch and pair great with Koni yellows. If you have the funds, have Koni do the shocks so custom so they are valved double adjustable and valved to match the Ground Control Spring rates (you can order custom springs rates from Ground Control). That's a heck of a setup. You're not going to get a better shock than that from any of the listed coilovers. You'll probably have to call Koni to inquire about the shocks, but I know they will custom valve them and make them double Adjustable. I had them do that for my Civic years ago when I paired bought some and paired them with GC Coilovers using custom rate springs. It handled very well, and the ride was still excellent.

AMR is the better coil-over but are hard to get.

I have a set of BC racing coils and i like them there a good bang for the buck, very good quality for the money and have a steel boby but If you live in an area with bad roads and worried about ride quality get them re-sprung to 200 front and 325 rear and you'll be much happier. I got my coils from injected performance as well and was very happy with there serves.
*When i bought my coil-overs injected performance would re-spring and re-valve the coil-overs to your specs for free when you order them*

d2/k sport are the same coil-overs, they are low quality aluminum body coil-over with poor quality seals and a bad sway-bar tab design

I just noticed most of your links were from ebay. I'd get coilovers from a reputable shop or vendor, as Caleb-M did and avoid ebay. You never know if what you are getting is authentic or not on ebay.

a few years ago i contact DMS (Drummond Motor Sport - Not all shock absorbers are created equal) about making a coilover for the AW11. they were up to the task. a full kit would cost in the range of $2500, and they can be customized for daily driving, track, autox, canyon running or gravel (ie. custom spring rates and valving).

at the moment, they do not have the actual measurements of the AW11 factory suspension - i offered to donate a front and rear setup, but never heard back from any fellow AW11 owner about going in on the group buy. and so, nothing was done.

honestly, i'm still wanting to get these made regardless. i know the $2500 price tag is high for most people (including myself). but, that is the beauty of group buys - more kits sold, the lower overall price.

DMS has a few different shock bodies available. 40mm and 50mm. for most applications, the 40mm shock body would be used. for the gravel setup, the 50mm shock body would be used (this helps to increase reliability and durability due to type of terrain).

anywho... if anyone wants to get in on that, i'm sure i can dig up the emails between myself and DMS - or you can contact DMS directly.

    That was very well put........

The "best" coilover setup is a VERY subjective statement...... Really, the "best" setup is one thats tailored to match the car and its use, something that no off the shelf setup can match correctly. Valving a spring rates need to chance with changing conditions and chassis setups. Since GC uses Eibach ERS springs, there are TONS of rates and lengths availible to tailor it to your exact needs. This combined with some double adjustable Koni's will make for the "best" setup due to being a perfect tailored setup to match the car and its use....

The "best" set are the ones you can't afford.

Anyone have an opinion of Function&Form Type-2 coilovers? On a side note I'm also curious as to the Koni/GC price without the custom valves.

If you're going to get GC kits, get Bilsteins or Ohlins. Japanese-made shocks are crap by comparison.

If you don't have money just get factory Bilsteins, and get them revalved for TRD springs.

Do you REALLY need the right height adjustment?

BTW $2500 for custom coilovers built just for you doesn't sound that bad. There are off-the-shelf coilovers that cost more than that.
