TOYOTA MR2 MK1.. JANSPEED DOWNPIPE...
HI CAN ANYONE HELP ME I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A MR 2 MK 1 ...LOVE THE CAR REALLY HOOKED ON IT..SLOWLY CHANGING BITS AND PIECES ON HER ..I HAVE RECENTLY BOUGHT A SECONDHAND JANSPEED BACK BOX BUT IT WILL NOT FIT ON TO MY EXCISTING STANDARD DOWNPIPE .....CAN ANYONE HELP ME LOCATE ONE THANKS....OR REMEDY HOW I CAN GET ROUND THIS ....

Well, you can either have a new downpipe made up from scratch. Most exhaust shops can do it. Or, you can have the flange cut off the exsisting downpipe and have a flange that will match up to the Janspeed Back Box flange. Or, finally.. you can find a Janspeed downpipe. Good Luck |

I'd try contacting Janspeed (I'm assuming you are in the UK) and purchasing the downpipe by itself. I suspect that a good portion of the power gains they claim are due to the longer, and possibly larger diameter, secondary pipes they use. If that isn't possible, then as tksmr2 suggested, you could have any decent exhaust or race fab shop build you a new downpipe to replicate the janspeed piece. Worst case scenario, modify an original downpipe to fit the janspeed muffler.
