well I picked up a set of 577's and have yet to run th emotor... (waitng on the head to get done) aster lookming at the cam numbers.. figured the durration would be best for the lack of over lap, yet it has the high list numbers I need. will see. I should have the motor runing in the next week or two.

That's some good news. You planning on bringing it down to Medford again this year?

Same question but I have two sets of stock cams sitting on my bench. One is the 85 n/a cams and the other is from the z engine. My problem is other ppl than myself has moved stuff around my shop so I'm starting to guess as to which cams are which. I tried to mic the two intake cams to see what the lift was and they both mic out the same so I'm still lost. I guess they do not have any part numbers on them right?

^^^same from N/A to GZE.

well I got the motor up and running... not exactly tooned yet... I got on it (3/4 peddle) spun the tires and tached out at 9948 rpm... before I got the chance to lift. wow.. it spins hard. I'm hopping to get it dyno tuned by next weekend.

ofcourse I'm on my secound head gasket though.... the first one was a crappy stock one. now I have the TRD mls gasket in there... so i guess its take 2.
