ARP 2000 rod bolts w/waveloc for V-6 swaps?

ARP 2000 rod bolts for swapped V-6s.

Is there any interest in high quality rod bolts for V-6 swaps?

It looks like two V-6s : the 3VZ-E (3 liter) and the 5VZ-FE (3.4 liter) use exactly the same rod bolts as the 4 cyl. 5sfe. The 5sfe rod bolts are reputed to be weak. They are smaller in diameter than the 3sgte rod bolts.

Check the rod bolt threads in the NA section. If you are interested please post your thoughts. Some final decisions need to be made with ARP shortly.

Yes, definitely interested. I won't buy them now until Im ready for a rebuild, but that is a must IMO if the motor is apart. The rods will need to then be reconditioned, nobody should just throw those in and torque them down and go.

It couldn't hurt, but you should only need to recondition the rods if the big end rod bores are out of spec.

If you put better bolts on that require more torque, I can assure you that you will need to recondition the rods. If they have the same torque specs as factory, then maybe not.
