how mutch can the sc handle

i have a 4agze DLI JDM i was told that the sc pully is smaller on my engine to make more boost it runs at 10 psi. will the 180mm NST pully work safely.
i read that the NST pully maxes out the sc on the regular engines with the smaller sc pully make spin to fast and melt the sc

heard plenty of stories of melting the rotor coating, never seen any proof. i've run up to ~17psi max with my sc12 and it still works fine.
