My Google Map

Black Top Original Throttle Position Sensor Part # 89452-12090 not available in the US, at least I couldn't find it.

Found a compatible one at Auto Zone: Duralast Part# TPS481
This is supposedly the same as Toyota Part# 89452-22080

The Resistance values of the Duralast part were slightly higher than my 14+ year old stock TPS, but all the terminals checked as correct function. On the car for two weeks working as it should.

The way to connect and disconnect a silvertop 2e gen tubes on the inlet

Just swap a other 20V in my aw11 and it was not intentional.
By luck got my hands on a other Silvertop engine but this one was in so unbelievable good condition I had to swap it for the old one and gone pull that one apart and totally re new everything and bring that one back to crisp condition and in the mean wile enjoy this perfect new engine that simply works and runs fabulous the moment I jacket it in there compared to the old one.

But I remember a whole lot of people are blocking there minds out to correctly connect the engine and especial the tubing at the inlet side.

Well,.I taught off you guys and made a picture of my solution and it works fine for two years now and it was hard to get it right so hopefully it will save you a lot of time.

Mostly 2e gen Silvertops are whit a soda line bracket screwed to the side off the inlet housing.
Get that off and leave the lines that are connected to the engine so that this picture will make sense.
I left out No 1 to keep my Rembrandt drawing a little clear to read :P

All 4 No 3 lines ,.
You stuff them all,.a nice screw and some good quality silicone and a line clamp,.wha evą you like just as long there are closed.

No 2 line
That one goose to the inlet housing an you have to connect it somewhere before the inlet right behind the airflow meter.
Do not put a little filter on it,.you need that connecting ore you lose the ability to perfect fine tune the engine.
Ore,.you use a blacktop configuration in youre electronics and lose the airflow meter.
Then a little air filter will do fine,.otherwise it gone make a irritating noise.

No 6
That has a connection on the bottom side off the inlet airflow box.
Put it there !
BUT ! make really sure that it connects perfect and that there are now tears ore cuts in the line ore the engine will never run proper idle.

No 4
Fuel line in

No 5
Fuel line out (retour)

No 7

That is for the pressure for the brake system and you can not see it from here but it is the only connection on the other side so you can not miss.

That is all there is to it,. have fun

150-165hp vs 114hp with more torque.

That and a newer motor.

Okay, so this might come off as a stupid question to all of you, but in order to learn, I have to ask.

I have a 4age 20v silvertop swap done to my aw11 taken out of a 95 corolla (from previous owner). In order to get some parts for it, I need to get a few questions cleared out about this swap.

1. Is it still an mr2 tranny that's bolted up to it?
2. If it can be otherwise, how can I tell whether it's the stock tranny or not?

The silvertop uses the same basic c52 transmission as the 88-89 mr2. The main difference is the shifting parts and the center casing.

Silvertop swap/ question/Who is #1

Alright, number 1.

I have a question for you.

In this pic, the throttle mechanism appears to have connections for TWO throttle cables, one for the accelerator (gas) pedal and maybe a second for the cruise control.

Does this silvertop have such a mechanism?

If so, do you have any more or a source for more?

I have no idea.

Ok, so I don't know much about Toyota motors (except the JZ series) but I have an 85 and a 87. What's a really good swap?
