Sleeping MR2 is starting to wake up....

Hello! Its been a long time since I posted on this board. In review I did a 20V Silvertop Engine + Blacktop ECU Swap in my MR2 in 2 and a half days. MR220V made the wire harness which saved me weeks of work. If you ever do this swap, I recommend throwing your money and harnesses towards MR220V. (props).

Anyways life came at me, I moved a few times and am getting married, so finally after pushing through a few projects my Brother and I started to talk about the MR2... so I decided that now I have a big work shed and lots of land, its time to put the MR2 back into service.

Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone... I still remember the swap so feel free to ask questions!

BTW, I need to know what type of clutch I can use with the Silvertop... I used the Silvertop Engine and Transmission in the swap. Anybody know if its any different then the standard 21 spline 4AGE clutch kits?

Thanks and I hope to participate on the board more!

I finished a Black Top with converted transmission a couple of months ago. Installed a Fidanza 9lb flywheel with the stock clutch disk and pressure plate from my 89 NA 4AGE.

I also used mr220v's wiring harness conversion, he is great to work with and saved me a bunch of time. Well worth the money.

I can't speak about Silver top transmissions specifically, but don't know why they would be different.

Just remember Murphy lives and he doesn't play nice.

Good to have you back!
