most rewarding engine swap?

as for a direct fit engine swap, what is the most rewarding engine/transmission/ecu/wires swap with the least problems your going to have encounter in the process? If price is not a "major" factor , you just want to do it right the first time.I want something that is fast in a straight line, but the engine and tranny are light enough to keep the nimble handling of the car stock.Everyones input and oppinion would be appreciated.

4agze with a pulley kit but if money isn't a big problem (and you don't mind having an engine wired and tuned) have a 4agte built up using the 4agze as a base and run a stand alone EMS but that involves a lot of tuning and is not for the faint hearted so I would just go for a pulley modded 4agze for ease of swap and easy horsepower.

that sounds good.what about if you want some serious power.what is a good engine and transmission to swap in their that will directly bolt up.I was reading about the silvertop, blacktop, and Beams... do they bolt up without having to fabricate new mounts and brackets for old parts?

The only real bolt in swap is the 4agze. A 20v will involve messing with the wiring harness or getting an adapter from mr220v (I'm pretty sure he's the guy to talk to about a 20v harness and swap info) 4agze has more potential but 20v is horsepower straight off. BEAMS will be custom everything and is almost the same as putting in a 3sgte which is the ultimate in power unless you put a v6 in the back. If your looking for something you can just put in there is not much choice. Most options involve some custom fabrication of some kind. The more custom work your willing to do the more power you can obtain. The trannies from the 20v motors will need to be drilled but there are some threads floating about that somewhere but otherwise they work. The only tricky part is the halfshaft splines can cause a headache when they don't match but using different brake hubs solves that.

As long as your prepared for a little fabrication and messing about you will get a good result.

I installed a Black Top this year, used MR220V modified wiring harness. Modified the c-56 transmission to shift from the front. Motor mounts and axle's are the original.

This is my daily driver, over 10k on the BT this summer and I flog it every day. It's Toyota reliable and gets an average of 35mpg even with AC.

Upgrading any car is all about time, money and skills.
