3sgte or 20valve
so im about to own my 3rd mr2 . 1 i turned into a dirt track car and one i put into a tree.
so ive been trying to decide between going with a 3sgte or a 20v and then maybe turbo it later down the road (which alot of people are saying still dosnt make the car that much faster) so it seems that the price between the 2 dosnt vary that much if u consider if u were to turbo your 20v(which still wouldnt be as fast as the stock 3sgte) well i plan on using this car for a bit of everything , hard driving, cruising around , going to the 1/4 mile occasionally, and occsionally messing with the primered up civic that pulls up. it would be nice to do that to a zo6 vette instead though im thinking from the weight of the 3sgte maybe the handling would suffer....will it make the snap oversteer worse? maybe better? so all in all whats the pros and cons of the 2 and im not worried abot the fabrication or mechanical aspect i can do all that myself without to much problem |

My S/C can deal with the fairly well-modded v8 monster... just ask the local fella with the loudest F-body car here locally. His 99-02 SS has nothing on my S/C... not even close and he's tried me repeatedly. I've also toyed with the occasional c5 zo6 without any trouble, and my lightly modded N/A trounced a lightly modded NSX on crappy street pavement, so it won't take too much. I couldn't imagine my S/C is putting down too much HP, even at 14 lbs boost. It is also mated to an 88 N/A tranny which seems to be a big help too. My buddy has a mk3 with the 2zz mated to a 6 speed... sweet motor! That little car really scoots too... I can guarantee it is faster than a stock turbo car, track tested!! I have been toying with the thought of the 2zz in my little hardtop out back.
