20V MK1 Engine Swap Error code 42

Speed sensor. I'm purchasing both parts I need for the speedometer to work. Will this fix this code? i'm getting mixed info on how not having this sensor effects the Blacktop. its my understanding that on a 16v it does not effect performance however on the bt it does.

It causes an intermittent CEL. That's about it. Some people say it causes a lower revlimit.....but I don't see why it should.

I'm guessing your speedo cable is broken. When you get it fixed, this code will go away.

I agree with Doug. Get a new speedo cable and it will go away.
