hose help
Okay, just installed the silvertop and tranny!! Well, at least mounted the components.
On the smaller heater core hoses, does the hose on top of the firewall go to the top water connector on the silvertop engine? Any suggestion about the large radiator hoses? Thanks in advance Kerry |

I was told the smaller hoses can go either way, but I noticed they just fit better a certain way, can't remember which went where though, just pull them over to where they need to be and you will see.
To eliminate you oil cooler hardline go to lowes and buy a O.D. 1.25" pipe, there is a nice polished one for $8.88, this will go right into the small 90 coming out of the firewall. then you need to get a hose to connect that to your filler neck. I went with a nice braided one from summit (again I.D. of 1.25") with a spring inside that kept it pushed into the corner between the fan and firewall. There is still plenty more to do after these but that should get you started thinking in the right direction. |

On the MR2 body its the same way. The top heater line goes to the top heater line on the 20v, the bottom heater line to the lower hookup on the 20v. Same way for the radiator hoses. top to top bottom to bottom. Easy as that. |
