Arrow My new TOY (W2A inter cooler)

got my new water to air inter cooler today.
Got it from frozen boostAir to Water Intercooler. I'm no expert on these things but the quality looks amazing only down side is the weight. I don't have or ever seen a top notch big name brand inter cooler to compare it to but it certainly looks good.

the only problem is mounting the radiator its 12x12x2 (actual size is 12x14x2 )so I have to try to move my radiator back 2 inches. the intercooler is big its 12" long 12" wide at top 8" at the bottom and 4.5" thick. i"ll need to move the bat to the frunk run the lines and wire it all up (so much easier to type than to do ) I have to find all the elbows and piping for the intercooler it self but all the water lines can be found at hardware store or the site sells a kit but you only get like 10ft of hose and all the other stuff for $50 but I don't think it will be enough hose.
let me know what you all think

Very nice!!! Congrats on the pickup. Make sure the radiator does not rub on the chasis and cause vibration.

The battery move is just a bonus, the car will handle noticeably better. Also if your AC is a dead horse, junk the compressor. Those two items weigh about 60 to 70 lbs. I know the weight because of the Midget Tossing contests I've been in.

take a tape measure and measure around the main, idler and Alt. pulleys. Note the measurement in Millimeters. Get a 5 rib belt of that lenght.

Re: My new TOY (W2A inter cooler)

Wow I was just looking into getting a A2W intercooler. I'm still not sure though.

Do some homework and map out what you are trying to achieve. If you want more hp while keeping the engine happy & cool go A2W. Don't need a real fancy set-up as some stock systems on others cars work very well (ST205). Can pick-up all parts needed second hand and install on MR2 with little modification. Do it , you won't be sorry!

Sorry I still have not put it on. I got it b4 my headgaskit blew. Now the engine is back together and that is pretty much all I need to do to get it running down the road safely.

I have put it on the back burner now for a while and just when I get to do something or order some parts for it, I have to do something to another car. I got a GS300 and its running but now I have to change the O2 sensors, it keeps putting lots of gas in to the cylinder and now I'm getting gas in my oil not good but I have an idea of how it will be set up. Coffee can reservoir anyone.

the heat exchanger on it is huge though and It is kinda a tight fit but It is on there. Really all I have to do is but the install kit and piping seems to be a pain in the but. But it will be put together sooner than later I'm starting to get the mr2 itch again.
