Paul, a few quick questions, are you going to use this vehicle for anything other then street driving? Is there any track that would really allow this over the top combo to be ran? Finally if it is to be only street driven would you be running a stereo? Your gonna need about a inch of matting behind those seats to even hear one playing full blast with 6 speakers or so.

It's going to be a weekend driver with the odd quarter mile run ,don't think there is any race series that will allow such a car.

As for a stereo, it makes it's own music so I'd rather listen to the engine

IT SPEAKS!!!

If you listen carefully it sounds like the engine is saying "ZOOM! ZOOOOM! ZOOOOMMMM!"

...or is it just me?

Keep it rockin' Paul

I thing you should go for it. There is enough room in the world for another insane MK1 swap. We'll certainly cheer you on!

Hehe I have something in mind. I'm assembling the parts for a twin turbo 3vz. It's been done before but meh that doesn't matter I'm going to do it my way and put it in a caged out mkI. I just finished the ecu and am doing some simulated runs on my computer

Pics of the first work that has been done on my rollcage... just basic tacking together and getting it to follow the contours of the body for now, i am going to remove the whole thing and pretty it up before final fitting.

Also need to extend two bars backwards to the strut tops, and also thinking of tieing this into the v8 "box" section.

Wow - it's gonna be a pretty tight squeeze fitting in there eh? I didn't notice before how far the engine protruded into the cockpit.

Most of it is just taking up the dead space that would normally be behind the stock seats, my bucket seats fit fine with me at full extension and i am 6ft.

Awesome! I've never been inside a MKI so I had no idea how much extra space they had.

Not really, i have had zero time to work on the car lately, so i have just been collecting more parts for it and getting ready for another attack on it.

The engine needs to come out now to finish the bay off, strip/rebuild the engine and refit it for the final time, after that it's just bodywork, brakes and interior refit.

Hopefully i will get some spare time for the car in the coming weeks, Woodsport just takes up all my time! The goal is everything finished by mid summer.
