question on the celicas for you.....
friend has an st165 that's got a troublesome 3s..... we've toiled with the idea of a v6 swap, but the cost of the rav4 AWD transmissions are pretty high.... he wants to keep it AWD... and from what he has seen this setup would give it a very low top speed but wold get there quickly -- have you done any AWD v6 swaps in either a 165 or 185? What trans/diff combo did you use? |

Not sure about that! but thankyou anyway.
I got my exhaust system finished completely today, i changed my rear tail pipe type to these, turned out i just did not have the space for the larger twin silencers... ![]() ![]() With the system tacked i took it off for seam welding... ![]() I then got the wideband lambda bosses welded in along with my EGT probe boss.I am also wrapping my whole system to try and minimize heat in the engine bay/boot. ![]() Just two more pipes to wrap and it is ready for final fitting, hopefully the noise levels will be acceptable! I love it. You even managed to find exhaust tips that don't have a 17" diameter.

Paul , this project is an inspiration to me. Seeing this, and reading over your writeups for V6 swaps, has convinced me that I'm capable of swapping a Honda J35 V6 with a 6 Speed into my AW11.
Keep up the great work! |
