4A-GE MK1 Engine 88 n/a mr2

Hell i'm looking at a 88 5spd mr2. I've been looking at it for a couple days only thing is he's asking 2300 for it and it has 193k on it... New paint job new ttop seals no rust of what I know of. Any words of advice to look out for and what do you guys think about the price? BTW it is about 6 hours away so I think driving it back might be out of the picture. Thanks in advance!

it's in better condition than my '85 was. mine had 165 on it, and i had to have the motor rebuilt. got it for 800 and 1600 for the engine rebuild. it's a solid looking car. i's say go for it. i fell in love with mine

It certainly looks to be the same car... paint is good and it has rims... both of those count for something even if it has kinda higher miles on the motor. I paid $2,300 for my 88 with 103K and faded paint/stock wheels but otherwise in good order.

nope never got her dunno what happened to it it was to long of a trip to take and I can't get away from work :/

That's interesting, I'm the person who ended up buying it. What a coincidence. I talked him down to $2000.
