If you run fairly modest amounts of boost you can use a rising rate FPR and 4A-GZE injectors on the stock ECU and stock bottom end.

Question for the group--(from a non-turbohead)
Why go to 440cc injectors? 400% more than Toyota engineers use in the supercharged engines? If the 8psi is OEM standard for the S/C engine and you want to go as far as 16psi would 200cc injectors be more than adequate? Also, I have been lead to understand that only a certain amount of fuel will burn with a given amount of oxygen in a combustion chamber (1:17) and the rest of the gasoline won't burn but will act like water to cool the piston. Isn't 440cc way overkill? (standard N/A injectors are 33cc, Toyota ups this to 100cc injectors for the supercharged engine.) |

The SC injectors are 365cc not 135, the NA ones are 180 something cc not 33. I don't know where you got those numbers but those are not correct. A turbo can and will flow a larger volume of air at the same pressure as an SC, that's why you need larger injectors. The air to fuel ratio is a meassure of efficiency for the most part, on a FI engine you need more fuel to prevent pre ignition caused by the heatting of the mixture due to the compression by the SC or turbo.

Quote:
1 for injectors use the stock sc (365cc) thats all im using with a stock fuel pump and under 13psi a/f still 10.1 before i pulled out some fuel 2 intercooler im not shour about as i dont use one im chemical intercooling with methanol so if your going ic i would think about a sc top mount(not very efficient but it fits) 3 ecu go with a stock 4agze or stand alone if you use the 4agze ecu you need all the sensors that go with it you can safely boost 10 psi on 9.4 stock compression with a good tune ( i just use a afc neo and aem wideband seems to work grate) any more and you have to drop to like 8.0 (if you looking i got a set of 8.0-1 for 75$+shipping or 110$ shipped any where) fs 4agze pistons |
