If cost is no issue, an S series motor of some kind is the best way to go. If you want reliability, NA is somewhat better than FI. I'm going beams in my mk1.
You could also go 2zzge. That would be more of a bolt-in. |

To make a harness, I need the original aw11 engine harness, and the harness you get with your 3sgte.
Kameleon is working up a mount kit for the s54. He's mounting a beams 3sge right now and should be able to duplicate whatever he comes up with. The e153 is a bit different. My personal preference would be for a beams 3sge. A gen3 3sgte would be faster though. |

Custom lower compression pistons and an aftermarket ecu.
I may have an easy/cheap way to turbo the 16v here shortly (might work for the 20v too). I have some things I'm trying to get tested. |

any updates?
Hi there,
Im currently putting together ideas to get me a 14 second 1/4 mi i was thinking of doing the gze 20v myself i already have the gze engine, so i figured why not pickup a blacktop with the 6speed and swap all the 20v head & parts to the gze lower end and mate it to the 6 speed. This gives the lower compression bottom end with the knock sensor and the better top end. Swap the pulleys for 14psi, go megasquirt for the ECU. bigger injectors, updated pressure regulator, some crafty piping with a water to air intercooler, stage 2 clutch and wham bam... but will it run smooth/reliable? and how many dineros? I have confidence - wiring will be a bit of a trick, but ive made harnesses before. im confident it could push 230ish at the wheels with OEM reliablily - probably pushing mid to high 14's swap the supercharger for a turbo + the exhaust piping, oil cooler and lines, BOV, wastegate and 240-280 is reachablle with low 14 high 13 - but it wont last too long before something gives any feedback info is great as i am trying to determine feasability and ballpark cost. |
