Help I'm missing....

Thought maybe I could get some ideas or others experiences from Club Members that might be beneficial to my problems with my 20 year old SC cars.

My SC street car started to have a galloping idle, similar to having a huge race camshaft (not TPS idle search) and a problem maintain a cruising speed (without some sort of erratic ignition missing). Fine when accelerating and taking off.
- Oddly the SC light indicator is on nearly all the time except when I leave off the throttle. ( Supercharger is not engaged though)

After exhaustive parts diagnosis I took my 100% OK ECU from my SC racecar and put it into the “defective” street car. No change.

Here’s the kicker.

But,…. when I put this 100% OK ECU back into the racecar it too started to exhibit the same exact symptoms as the defective street car now.

My Cure??: I just put a fresh-bought replacement ECU back into the racecar today. But....
(it still is exhibiting the same problems.)

Could this be an ignitor driven problem? Could a damaged ignitor also damage the replacement ECU in such a way that the ignitor in the #2 car was also damaged thru the ECU in some way???

I need some objective ideas, I’m so deep into this Forest all I see is trees

Thanks Tim

sounds like it could be a few different things. you need to take a look at your TPS. adjust if necessary. your IAC valave would be next on the list of culprits. along with your IAC would be the throttle body. take it off and clean it. same with the IAC. i've literally soaked the throttle body and scrubbed it afterwards. the IAC gets a bit yucky.
