Adjustment shims
So my lifters and shims fell in a jumble and am trying to put them back on now! Its only the intake side. how much resistance should the feeler gauge give to be above .007 inches? If i give a little pressure it kinda gives resistance then pushes through. i'm assuming this means the clearance is larger then .007?
If i switch shim and bucket, will it be the same clearance on the other valves? or should I just switch the shims, or just the buckets? I'm not sure which goes where origionally, but most of them seem close. Not to mention I'm missing one, AAH?! |

Well i took a shim that was in spec, swapped it into the missing bucket, then switched buckets and measured both with the same shim. shim should be in the mail today.
Wish me luck! |
