I'd have to say at least at night, the Revision 6 tails look the coolest to me.
However the 91-93 looks great with certain kits like the Palatina |

Are you the guy who helped me get my yellow '91 down the road last month? If so I wanted to say thanks again. There was a LOT that tom didn't be honest with me about, but at least it's running ok. Good thing I live so far away....I'd be in jail |

If I wanted 94 taillights, I'd buy a 94. The 91 taillights are one of the distinguishing features of my 91, even thought purists will point out my 93 lip. I didn't say it was that pure, just my taillights.

its not hard. basically you swap the 91's for the 94's. thats how mine are. no reverse light, so either A. back in, or B. be very aware of your surroundings. and plus with the brake light on the roof tap the brakes everyonce in awhile and you'll be fine. i've never had issues.

Yes Im the guy who tried to help you out with that car sorry if Tom didnt inform you of everything to be honest he probably just didnt know himself I just remember the interior being really clean but enjoy the car and we will all contemplate our tailight upgrade. I think that Im just going to tint the 91 tails to red and everything else in my car in the end will be 95+ (wing, engine, axles, front lip, brakes, etc.)

LENS PAINT GLASS PAINT VINYL: VINYL To find more sources for the red tail light spray, google "lens painter" or "Red Tail Lamp Spray". I suggest buying from ebay. Some have used Testors "TRANSLUCENT Candy Apple Red" and clear. You could get Testors paints from most craft stores. For the vinyl, you could google "translucent vinyl" or check locally. Post PICS! |

They look real shiny for a rattle can job (I assume it's not). How did you achieve these results? Can people see your brakes during the day?

Nice, I thought about doing that to my black '91 but I think it would be too much black. Did you use the VHT product or automotive paint? Does anyone know how I could sand the paint off of mine and get them to shine again? The previous owner thought it was necessary to paint them black with little circles left for the light to shine through. Yeah, they're gay.

Thanks for the kind comments. They were done by Jon's Tinted Tails in Randolph, NJ. His website tells how they are done. Other than some polishing compound in some of the cracks I was very pleased with how they turned out. Jon's Tinted Tails | Home Page

If it don't make you faster, save yer dough!!!
But if the aesthetic appeal is too great to ignore, get something from a different year (or used aftermarket) that looks stylin' for little dinero. My 95 V6 Stang is very fast and cheap, but it is subtle in appearance. It has 96+ tails with sequential tri-bar blinkers and Cobra R rims, and C springs. Very subtle and tasteful, but catches the eye nicely! |
