The most anti-rice board I have seen is team-integra.net. Hondas are pretty much ricer heaven. Its constantly an uphill battle for those few people that don't want to be seen a ricers.

Some bodykits are acceptable but others are just too flashy and add unnecessary lines. A built motor is priority though. I rather keep up with a Ferrari than look like one.

As said before ricer is another word for ghetto. I enjoy every looks of most cars as long as its owner has the passion for his ride to do everything 110%. Kinda like making spark plug wires labeling got the same direction and lined up perfectly. I dont know, i just love cars and laugh at the crappy ones. But im not going to turn mister2 into a kit car, id rather create a classy sleeper.
APR make a really nice wing and its real carbon fiber. Andy's Auto Sport Body Kits - Your Body Kit Superstore! |

That wing style is actually one of the best, if true carbon fiber they don't add much weight, maybe 2 lbs. total. Stick out even with the rear wheel. But the slightest scratch will destroy the rest of the wing quickly, unless cared for properly$$.It's like a carbon fiber mountain bike frame, always high quality but more high maintenance than a triple black paintjob.
Just to say it, there is a legends group at Thunderhill raceway, in northern California which is a porsche race class. The wings the majority of the cars wore were this style and i notice a lot of APR also lot's of $$$. Those guys were also running 250mph+ on the straights. On the MR2 being a middle engined car, it would benefit with having more front end traction; Up to a certain point, id say 300ponies or more, four road course. But if you got that then you should be smart enough to have upgraded suspension a bit, which would take a more major part in total control. Don't forget the rubbers. I mean rear down force wont really take to count up to that point but obviously you'd need even more front down force. Last edited by ShackC; 01-03-2010 at 04:45 AM.. |
