I think I found them on some eco-aerodynamics forum...but they'd be taken down...but I could still see the still pictures without the animation. Looks like the car could really benefit from a fully flat bottom and rear diffuser.

Here's a link to the videos...incase anyone is still interested...
Flow Illustrator - a simple windtunnel simulator - Page 2 - Fuel Economy, Hypermiling, EcoModding News and Forum - EcoModder.com It's down under post #30. The videos don't actually work anymore, but you can still see the static airflow diagram. I might try using the same program to see what I can determine about the mr2's aerodynamics, being as detailed as possible (considering it's only a 2 dimensional simulator). I know...I'm waiting for the weekend to play with it so I don't get too distracted. Should be a bit useful in designing a semi functional spoiler that looks good

Blue Bomber in is on mr2oc, maybe we can get him to put those vids back up, i'd love to see the difference between the different scenarios he posted.
Maybe some actual proof to what I've believed for a long time, that a flat underbody+vented hood+rear diffuser improves the mr2 aerodynamics immensely and that stock mr2s have terrible aerodynamics |
