Besides, chances are, your only gonna need a few parts from the MR2 for this kit. And most likely get an engine built or possibly a V6 put in it anyway, so as far as the parts for the donor car, you won't be needing anything special that isn't already offered on the 91. |

or just buy the DDR SP8, that sounds like it would be alittle more fun.

if you look on there you don't use anything from the MR2 for the SP8, all you need to buy is a Chevy small block a Porsche G50 transaxle, and some wheels and tires.

Don't Worry, It's Just Me, I actually like this kit option you listed. I'd take the money I saved not buying an MR2 and build one badass LS1. I think a 500hp V8 would go great with that car. It just seems more fitting of the supercar looks than a boosted 4 cylinder (not to bang on MR2's, I love them...but well...it just does).
That's my 2 cents. Mr2Buyer, if you insist on using an MR2 for this. PLEASE use the 91 you have; or if you want to keep that car intact, buy another 91/92 instead of a 94. It'll cost less, and you can take the substantial money you saved and put it into a full build of the motor + standalone + turbo kit. You'll put down much better numbers this way. Or, if it's just the motor your after, buy a Gen3 clip instead of the whole car. You'll get a better base motor buying a Gen 3 clip anyways. ![]() |

i mean sure the SP8 costs more, and im sure the Porsche transaxle wouldn't be very cheap, but man. just think of that thing with a built up corvette motor over a I4 turbo

That car looks amazing, and the LS1 and Porsche tranny will give it performance to match!! If I could afford it, I'd go that route!! |
