Celica headlights (7th gen)

I had an idea after I saw 7th generation celica headlights on a 2nd gen mr2. I'm probably gonna take it up as a project for my car.. xquisite automotive has a finished product that looks like this: ::: X Q U I S I T E :::

If I get the celica headlights by themselves, what will I need to get modified on my mr2? Im guessing the hood and bumper will need to be cut to fit?

You're going to have to fab some sort of mounting system that allows you to adjust the lights. I also can't imagine the Celica lights looking good without the long slope of the Border bumper.

Looks pretty cool. But i would still take the revision 6 headlights over this. But, go ahead. Make sure to take plenty of pics of the process.

I love that conversion notice how the lights are tinted maybe to hide the modifications or cutouts they had to do to make the lights fit over the front support bar (the one holding the bumper.)?? Let me know how it goes if you get it done...I will do mine :-)

I want to know, as my car is cut up around the headlights already

if I have a chance to just pick up the stock celica front bumper, Headlights, hood and fenders, if the measurements are close enough if I can just use those parts rather than cutting an MR2 hood and bumper?

is there ANYONE out there who can take measurements? or perhaps even test fit?

Hi all, sorry to bring a post up from the past. I was bored and looking around on google.

yeah mine is the one with the whole celica front end though, and if you just did the bumper off the 7th gen there is no way it will match up with the hood, it is a square peg up against a round hole. There has to be a transition piece to slowly merge from the cheese wedge mr2 front to the curvacious celica front. It is a big project but I can't stand popups lol. I love the 7th gen celica and had one for a long time but I can't stand the wrong wheel drive, just wish they made an MR or FR or AWD 7th gen if the FT-hs -86 -whatever it is now called will ever go up for sale maybe I will sell my car and just use that as a replacement. oh and I really need to update my thread, it's come a ways since the last post... i'm lazy though i guess.
