Brand new tail lights

I've just purchased a complete set of brand new 94+ tail lights and they will be here soon. However, the center panel i'm receiving is going to be white, and my car is black. So I'm wondering if i should DIY paint it myself (which I'm not sure how exactly), or just take it to a shop (not sure how much they would charge for a little piece). Suggestions?

start with the diy if you like....
mask anythign you dont' want paited.
rough it up with some fine sandpaper maybe like a 220 wet
by the color match black for your car and spray
multiple thin coats... may want to throw a clear or too if the black isn't a high gloss from the can

avoid the really cheap spray paints.

Painting isn't so hard, it's just a matter of you prepping it up right. Painting is fun!

eh. for a piece that small, a body shop should'nt charge more than 50 bucks.
But DIY is always fun. ... sometimes not the best route.
I used to be a autobody/painter, black is the MOST difficult color to spray. VERY DELICATE COLOR.

If you screw it up, you can always take it to a body shop later to have them re-do it. For such a small piece it shouldn't be too expensive.
