I believe you can still buy a roof replacement, which is typically used by body shops to repair damaged body panels. You simply cut out the damaged part and weld in a replacement panel (which requires very good welding skills, if you don't want it to look like hell). You'd just need a hardtop headliner after the piece had been welded in and painted.

mmmm i remember awhile back someone had used silicone on the T-Tops pretty much making them not usable, and no leaks to worry about. i think you can do the same if you want to delete it. and always paint it over or use vinyl. just a crazy suggestion.

That would just lower the value of the car and look pretty ghetto IMO.

One thing I've helped do is repair a rolled car that had a sunroof with a full hardtop. All we did was pick specific points on the pillars to slice then weld back together, was tricky with the multi layers but worked out good. You could tell up close but it was a racecar so we didn't bother trying to cover it up too much it was just a slight weld bump you could see, you could blend it in no problem.

Another thing is to weld in a piece of tin that is the right shape and then blend it in with the roof and remove the sunroof ribbing to cover it up with a headliner, would require a few hours with bodyfiller and paint. Also the silicon it up thing is ghetto I brought a celica like that with matte black to cover it over and it just looked horrible.
