post some pictures of it up and let me see what you got. what kind of bumper is this? I work in the autobody industry, and to be honest with you just about nothing aftermarket fits. Your lucky if it does, and most the time if it does your paying good money for it. Just what ever you do don't just cut and hope bodyfiller/bondo is gonna fix it. bodyfiller is not flexible at all and can and will crack.

Yeah no problem. I talked to one of the other body guys in my shop today and he said that he has always had fitment problems with extreme dimensions kits or bumpers.

Lots of sanding and fiberglass is your only hope. Fit it up to the car and start sanding. Where you have to sand a lot, fill the back of it with fiberglass to reinforce it.
It is a long process but eventually you will be able to get it to look good. Make sure you primer the hole thing and block it off before painting that way you know you got everything. Next time I do it, I am going to have it on my car for a month before painting that way I know it will withstand the bumps before spending the money on painting it. |

Thats some good advice. alotta kits you can get away with doing that as long as the fitment isn't to bad. pretty much sand sand and sand some more and reinforce is always good. but then again sometimes that won't just cut it. hopefully that will work for ya. When priming guide coat it with some black spray bomb. This will help show any imperfections or low spots as well. then you can fill or work what ever need to be fixed. It doesn't hurt prime and sand it almost back down to the fiberglass and then give it a second prime. Just make sure you wear a mask when sanding the fiberglass, that stuff is no good to be breathing in.
phoenix you were talking about driving around before getting it painted to make sure it could withstand the bumps and stuff. Were you talking about the actual bumper itself? |

lol. well good choice in my opinion. but I'm not a bodykit guy either so... I can install them but don't really care for them all that much, at least not the big LOOK AT ME ones. plus alot of those kits out there really don't compare to the quality of the factory stuff. All the ones I have installed come with papers that stress that they are made for car shows not everyday driving.
