Is this a good set up?

Hey guys, just got ma 2 from Japan and ma suspension is doing the souljah boy lol, n e ways i plan to replace it with the TOKICO ILLUMINA shocks and a set of TRD springs, the body kit is low so i dont need a big drop, i also plan to upgrade my wheels from 16" to 17" with some 45 series tires, is the shock and spring combo solid? or shud i look up somthing else?

They are both respectable brands with good background on their products, i'd say go for it.

Tokicos are good. Konis are better. What are you intentions? Are you going to auto-x or daily drive? If you have the funds, get some coilovers (Silk Road). Depending on the miles of the car, you might want to consider changing the bushing, pillowmounts, and endlinks. If not, koni yellows on TRD springs is a great strut/spring set up. Tokicos are nice too if you are on a budget.

Are you planning on a staggered set up? I have 17x7.5F (215/40/17) and 17x8.5R (255/40/17). I had to roll the fenders because of the 255's.

Congratulations on your purchase.

yes i am on a budget, i already orderd the Illumina struts and a set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs, and i had plan to go with the 17" Sport Max 962's, there 17x7 and 17x9, its going to be a daily driver, not a day of track cuz i cant afdford it and i plan to keep this car for a while aka pet it up but i still plan to open it up a few times on the street.

That shoud be a pretty good set up. I have the 962s with Tien s-tech springs. Yours with the Eibach should ride great and look good too.
