Front end sway/float
For a while, my 93 NA had a floating feeling above 70 mph, making the highway kind of a scary place to be, but now I can feel it float at lower speeds. It feels as if the steering wheel isn't really connected to the wheels and that there's alot of play in the rack. When turning the wheel a quarter inch, there's no slop or play in the rack, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Buy some Speed Flaps, it makes a world of a difference. Its common to have that feeling in our cars at high speeds.
You can buy OEM replicas here from EMSpowered.com |

I don't think it's an aerodynamic issue. While speed flaps should help, this is a new development, and I can tell it's steering/suspension related. Thanks though, once I get this sorted, speed flaps are on my agenda.

Maybe need an alignment? Wheel/tire balanced? Got proper tire pressure? Just a thought.

All those things can play into it. Ball joints as well are a main culprit. The MR2's are VERY touchy to alignment, and i've always had a hard time getting a good one. Get her up in the air and check fro any play in the wheels at 3 and 9 and 12 and 6. Look for any loose bolts and stuff like that too.

Well, replacing my struts at the moment. Hopefully I can finish building the fronts tomorrow and have her aligned.
