I thought of getting them but decided to just stick with the stock ones on my '93, with new bushings.

To my understanding they only go in the front (2 pieces) and replace the front strut rods. Also to my understanding these only work on the 93+ style setup. Which means if you have a 91 or a 92 you need to buy the 93+ front strut rod bracket that attaches to the frame.

They appear more beefier than the originals and replace a bushing with a pillowball mount so there would be less "slop" and I also believe you can adjust the caster with them. 93+ can not adjust the caster.

From a Tein page:

"The rubber bush of the tension rod has been replaced with pillow balls (spherical bearing) in all TEIN's Pillow Ball Tension Rod to eliminate tow change through compliance on acceleration or deceleration and allow only for vertical movement by the lower - arms. It also reduces the roll at corners and creates quicker steering response. In addition, the wheel alignment (caster angle) can be set through adjustments."

OTOH, I think JIC or some other company makes "traction bars" that are basically the same as these but replace the rear strut rods on the car for basically the same reasons.

Considering my car is used 99% of the time on the streets, I felt I didn't need any of these.

Makes sense. I was working on completing my suspension mods, and was just wondering if I should get these or not or if they would be a waste of money. I just got sway bars, so now all I really need is some strut bars I guess, and I should be pretty much done.

I was in the same boat as you not too long. As you know I have the Flex coilovers and went with TRD sway bars. I looked into these and others, front and back but have decided to just stick with the stock items (on a 93 that is) but replace the bushings with the ones included in the H&T kit.

I am currently undecided if I will install the TRD bar in the rear. I have the front one installed (it's easy) and the rear will come around easily around turns so if I add a stiffer bar in the back it would only do it easier.

I have to try different settings with my car after I get it aligned and matching tires front and back would help also.

Yeah, I just got my ST sways. I think I'm just gonna get some TRD strut bars and call it a day.

TRD strut bars are so expensive. I have a Cusco in the front and nothing in the rear right now because I broke one of the bolts towards the firewall for the stock x-brace. I plan to eventually get a TRD strut tower bar in the rear.
