Can anyone identify these? (struts)

I was wondering if anyone could identify these just by the tops. They look like stock ones (black) with stock springs. but when I bought the car I was told it had TRD suspension....I just found out today after installing a strut bar that it had adjustable struts. I mean I would guess alot of them would look similar..but if I could assume this guy was correct when he said they were TRD.

Those look exactly like my KYB's (the adjustable ones) up front and in back. Though, mine are shot.

...AND if they've been on there for very long, they probably don't have much life left. I've driven/owned alot of different setups, these have got to be the worse struts available for the mk2 mr2.

They were set on Hard and pretty bouncy but stuck corners nicely. on smooth road. I softened em up today and it improved the ride by 100% wish I woulda checked 3 weeks ago..I guess its time to order some Konis.
I am in the process of upgrading the springs/sway bars/brakes (have allmost all the parts am awaiting some SS brake lines to come in to install them all at once)
I was wondering if they would be a decent match up with the TRD springs or if I shoudl just replace them with some yellows. I mean they are still prviding dampering. I just dont really know the age of them.

Yeah cause at this time I have a set of stock dampers with trd springs sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. SO it would be alot of work to pull of the TRD springs pull out the AGX put on the TRD springs just to realize they are crap. Best bet would be to install the stock w/trd deinstall the AGX pull the struts and see if they can be rebuilt.

You don't want to re-use them. If your going through the trouble of replacing your suspension, do it right the first time. Personally, I wouldn't rebuild them either. At least not with KYB's. Since they're inserts like Koni's, you could swap them out if you have the extra cash for the Koni's. If anything, go with the stocks you have. They will far outlast those KYB's.

I'm trying to hold out with my shot kyb's untill i can afford a full setup. I only want to take everything out once. You know, struts, springs, sways, endlinks, mounts, all bushings....everything. Brand Spankin New.

kyb agx. i have them paired with H&R reds. so far, they've got like 30k miles on them and they're still holding up well. they're really stiff though. i would definitely get these before i get tokicos aka to-leak-os.

^Hmmm...well maybe mine are installed wrong? I know they're not that old. BTW, I love the white w/ the Work Equips. Exactly what I want to do eventually, only I'm going to "deface" mine w/ a body kit.
