Need added info, YES I did read the stickies.

I've been trying to use the tire/wheel calculator.. but...

I need to know the STOCK tire size and offset for a 91T

I'd also like to know if anyone has a general idea of what offsets will work before rubbing...

Lets say i'll be using the following sizes, what offset RANGE is within tolerance before tire contact?

16x7F
17x7F
17x8F

16x8R
17x8R
17x8.5R

From what i'm told a +45 will contact the front strut on average, but what will contact the fender front or rear?

Ideas? Comments? Threads I can read to find out if question has been asked already?

This might be easier accomplished by saying that there is "X" amount of clearance from the stock rim to fender, and "Y" clearance from stock rim to strut?

added info:
fenders are not rolled or cut.
vehicle has KYB AGX struts with Eibach Sportline springs.
Previous MR2 had 16x7 +40 F&R on same suspension. I'd like something wider out back this time.

stock size is in one of the stickies. 6 +45 front and 7 +45 rear.
hitting suspension up front with a +45 is for an 8" wheel. at least a few have cleared with 7.5 +45.

tire clearance to fender depends on the tire size as well as the tire brand and model since each model is sized a little differently regardless of whether they technically have the same specs because they're the "same" size ....... 245/40 17 for instance. the tire's actual size will also change based on the width of the wheel you put it on .... a 245/40 17 will be wider on a 17x9 than on a 17x8 ..... the contact patch anyway .... you may actually gain a little clearance for sidewall rubbing on a 9.

you can use flushness to guage rubbing on the fender. To play it safe, if the wheel is flush and the tire is the same width as the wheel, you'll rub when lowered (assuming you aren't playing games with camber). 9 +35 with a 255 = rubbing. 9 +43 with a 255/40 17 is generally regarded as safe.

simple enough?

Look at actual tire specs for the brand and model you're considering on tirerack or manufacturer pages. Compare the section width vs the width of the wheel you're planning to use to determine whether the tire will overhang the edge of the wheel. Keep in mind that the total width of a wheel is 1" wider than the advertised width since rim width is based on the bead seat and there's a flange on either side of the wheel that is 13mm (13x2=26 = approx = 1 inch).

I did find the stock tire sizes AFTER i made the post. Thanks tho.

It may be stated elsewhere, but i've found it mostly stated as this is what i have and it works...
Not this is a range of what will "normally" fit.
Or I've found it in terms of flushness, but that means nothing when the vehicle is lowered.

Thanks for your help. That helps answer my question of trying to find newer Toyota wheels that fit. IS250/350 wheels will not fit on the front due to the 8"width with +45ET

Guess i need to find 7" fronts to go with the 8"rears.
Just gotta spend more money than I wanted and go buy new rims.

flush doesn't change when lowered unless there's a big camber change.

But it does affect rubbing, no?

so lets say that i go with a 7" front and 8" rear...
seems that the best fit w/o worrying about hitting the fender due to the sportline springs would be:
For 7" front a +35 to maybe a +43 w/o worry
For 8" rear could be +30 to +40 w/o worry

I've found the Enkei RPF2's available in:
16x7 +35
16x7 +43

17x8 +35

Running a 205/40R16 front and a 245/40R17 rear. Any opinion on the front offset? or tire size?

Use the 17x9 +45 out back for better performance from the 245. 10mm more clearance to the fender from the tire also (vs the 8 +35).
17x8.5 +40 is better than the 8 +35 too.

16x7 +35 would be my choice for the front.
