Drop on 93+?

What about the 93+ stock suspension makes it lower? Is it the actual design of the strut or are the springs just shorter? Reason I ask is because I put on Eibach Pro-Kits on my 93 NA and the drop was exactly half an inch, not the full inch advertised. Now I understand that they should settle some, but it has been two weeks and the springs were lightly used to begin with so any settling I should think would be done with by now. Is it common to see a 1/2 inch drop with 93+ cars? Right now I've got about 1 inch wheel gap in the front and 1 1/8 in the rear.

posted drop rates are being compared to the 91 so drop is less on the 93's

Yeah, the 93 stock springs are a bit shorter than the 91s. The amount you'll drop off stock height will be less than the 91, but you'll end up at the same height as a 91 would. Basically, a 91 stock is taller than a 93, but put them both on a set of prokits, and they're the same height.

The springs themselves are what makes the 93-95 MR2's lower than 91-92 MR2's, not the strut. 93-95 springs are shorter.

As was stated, the advertised drop is usually on a 91-92 MR2, but it really doesn't matter. In the end, if you look at pictures of an MR2 lowered on a set of springs, that's the look and end result you'll get drop wise, whether you started with a 91-92 or 93-95.
